Rhode Island photographer George Ross specializes in weddings, product, website, sports and portrait work. Located in Richmond, Rhode Island, George travels and shoots wherever his clients need him.
George Ross is one of the North-East’s premier sports photographers and was the official team photographer of Providence Roller Derby. George is a regular contributor to and a variety of magazines and newspapers, web sites and blogs.
I use Canon professional photographic equipment, EOS 1Ds ( X and Mk IVs) camera bodies in combination with Canon’s Pro. ‘L’ series lenses. George’s images are sharp in detail and vibrant in color and wrapped in creativity.
Standard wedding packages are available which will address the needs of most, and these can be adapted to your special day.
Have you ever thought about capturing that magical moment when you propose? Rhode Island Photographer George Ross can make it happen for you. In the examples below, George hid out of view to capture the proposal. In one case, in the grasses of Barrington Beach and the other, I hid in plain view posing as a tourist at the Castle Hill Light. Together, with a little planning, we can capture the sheer joy of your proposal.
For Portraits and Headshots:
We can meet anywhere in Rhode Island (or beyond) for a location shoot, or we can work in my Richmond, Rhode Island Studio. Formal portrait, family portrait, glamor portrait, social media profile headshot, business headshot or something fun and quirky…just contact George and he will make the magic happen!
For Product Photography:
Great product photography sells products, it’s that simple!
For Event Photography:
I specialize in capturing the drama of performance art in low-light conditions but enjoy shooting any live event from dance to theater to music to corporate events.
For Sports Photography:
In addition to using Canon’s top-of-line camera bodies, I have invested in lenses explicitly designed for sports such as the EF 300mm f/2.8 and 70mm-200mm f/2.8 I love shooting in all kinds of inclement weather. Once I am wrapped up in Gore-Tex, and my cameras are wrapped up in Gore-Tex, bring on the weather!
For Dog Photography:
We can meet anywhere in Rhode Island for a location/action shoot, or we can work in my Richmond, Rhode Island Studio. I am very comfortable around animals and have a great deal of patience ( and it takes a lot of patience) to get you the capture that you desire.
I can travel to you with a mobile studio (lights and the appropriate backdrops, if needed) and will set up in your business location. In this way, your employees show up to work as usual and will have their portraits taken onsite!
I have a considerable catalog of Burlesque work for a couple of reasons Burlesque shows are a whole lot of fun and it is not what the average person thinks it is and secondly, as a photographer, shooting Burlesque keeps me honest. Typically, Burlesque shows are held in pubs and clubs with extremely poor lighting and I have to work extremely hard to shoot a good set. You can’t mail in a Burlesque shoot.
The problem with stock photography is that it is stock photography and if you are building out a new website or are updating an existing website (or marketing collateral) consider hiring George to shoot images in your operation or business to capture a set of marketing images, unique to your company, to separate your business from your competitors.
