Is there a fee or permit required to propose at Beavertail?

No, there is currently no fee or permit required for a simple surprise proposal. Because Beavertail is a Rhode Island State Park, it is open to the public and free to access.

  • Professional Photography: As your photographer, I handle the logistics of the shoot. However, unlike some Newport mansions, you do not need to “rent” the space for a surprise proposal moment.
  • Park Hours: Keep in mind that the park officially closes at dusk. If we are shooting a sunset proposal, we need to ensure we are wrapping up and heading to the vehicles as the sun dips, although I have never encountered issues shortly after disk.
