Interior Architectural Photography: Basement to English Pub-Style Bar
A Basement Transformation
DiStefano Brothers Construction commissioned me to photograph the amazing transformation of a basement in to a stunning English Style Pub.
Using a Canon EOS 1DX MkII paired with a Canon TS-E 24mm tilt-shift lens, I captured the architectural details with precision. A tethered workflow to a MacBook Pro, displaying the 1DX’s Live View, enabled real-time composition approval from the design team, ensuring optimal results and a streamlined shoot.
Techy Stuff:
- Camera: Canon EOS 1 DX MkII
- Lens: Canon TS-E24mm f/3.5
- Image type: HDR (+/- 2 stops)
- Shutter Release Timer: 2 seconds
- Laptop: MacBook Pro
- Tethered Software: Capture One
- Post-Processing: Lightroom/Photoshop
Note: I edit in Lightroom/Photoshop but I have found Capture One to be a much more stable platform when shooting tethered. Although, as I write this Lightroom have issued a new release where they claim improved tethering – I am looking forward to testing it.
