Planning for Rainy Day Proposal Day

Planning for Rainy Proposal Day

One of the most common questions I receive during proposal planning sessions is, “What happens if it rains?” While it’s impossible to predict the weather with absolute certainty, I can share my experience from over 322 proposals.

Weather Monitoring and Flexibility:
We’ll closely track the weather forecast to ensure a smooth proposal. Within the 24-hour weather window, we’ll have a better idea of the expected conditions, at which point we will have a phone call to develop a plan. If the weather forecast is not favorable, we will review the situation on the morning of the proposal.

If the forecast indicates rain, we’ll discuss the following options:

  • Time Adjustment: If the rain is expected to start during the planned proposal time, we can consider adjusting it to an earlier or later time.
  • Umbrella Usage We have a practical solution for light rain: a white or clear umbrella. This keeps you dry and adds a romantic touch to the proposal.
  • Rescheduling: If the weather is particularly unfavorable, we can reschedule the proposal for an alternative day.

While rescheduling is sometimes necessary, in most cases, a little flexibility and creativity can turn a rainy proposal day into a unique and memorable experience with magnificent imagery.
